Step into the Math Club at Meridian School, and you’ll find a place where curiosity meets creativity where students come together not just to solve equations, but to explore how mathematics shapes the world around them. Whether it’s cracking brain-teasers, walking a math trail, or preparing for Olympiads, the Math Club offers something for everyone who enjoys thinking a little deeper.
The Math Club at Meridian School is an after enrichment program open to students who are passionate about problem-solving and mathematical exploration. It’s not about memorizing formulas; it’s about discovering the beauty, logic, and patterns in mathematics.
Students from middle and high school (Grades 6–10) meet once a week, and sessions are guided by experienced teachers who create a fun, hands-on environment.
Every week, students participate in exciting activities that spark interest and challenge their thinking. Some highlights include:
From Sudoku and magic squares to logic riddles and math-based escape rooms.
Students explore the school campus and spot real-life applications of geometry, symmetry, ratios, and angles.
We dive into exciting topics like Math in Nature, Math in Art, Cryptography, or Financial Literacy.

Students work in teams to tackle open-ended problems, building collaboration and critical thinking skills.

For students who want to test their skills, the Math Club provides coaching and practice sessions for School-level math bees and quiz bowls.
“I never thought math could be fun but now it’s my favourite subject.”- Mowlish Grade-6
“The club helped me see that there’s more than one way to solve a problem.”-Krishnapriya Grade-7
“I loved working with friends on puzzles that didn’t feel like ‘work’ at all.”- Riya Grade -5
The Math Club isn’t just about learning formulae; it’s about developing problem-solving skills, confidence, and a mindset that embraces challenges.
Here’s what a typical session might look like:
A riddle or brain teaser to get everyone thinking.
Teams tackle a real-world math problem — like designing a floor pattern using geometry or analyzing data to predict trends.
Students present their ideas and solutions, learning how to explain their thinking clearly.
Time-based mini quiz or logic game with prizes for the top scorers. There’s laughter, debate, excitement and most importantly, learning through discovery.
